What a Wonderful Tour!

Hey folks!

We from JULIEN-K GERMANY are back from the We’re Here With You European Tour that we will definitely remember as being one of the best experiences in our whole lives! Yes, those were about 7 really amazing days with a more than great crew, a band that gave 100 % every night, and of course with all of you who we met at the shows again or for the first time and who eagerly bought new merch at our booth or grabbed the tour poster that they won! First of all we’d like to thank the band and their manager Daniel Heerdmann who made it possible for us to spend these wonderful days on the road with them and help out as merch girls (and part-time roadies ;)). Some more shoutouts go to the amazing crew members Claudio (sound), Thomas (backliner), Ina (the newly nominated assistant of the tour manager ;)), the support band Nox Interna that we shared our bus with for 3 shows, and of course to our tireless bus driver Mike who drove us through 4 or 5 countries – of which most of us can probably remember only 3 ;) You all rock like hell – thanks for the great time!!

We have experienced a lot, and so many impressions still spin in our heads that the after-tour pains will surely need some more days to fade away. In the next weeks we also want to try to write down some of these experiences in the form of a small tour diary – we will keep you posted for sure! ;)

… and before we forget: Yes, there is in fact one more date left! Tomorrow, on February 21, the Viper Room in Vienna (Austria) will experience a new electro rock revolution. Everyone who has the chance to go there should definitely do it – your minds will be blown away! Unfortunately, in Vienna JULIEN-K GERMANY will not be represented by Lisa and Laura anymore; however, our webmaster Thomas will be at the show – so say hi to him if you see him! ;)

Tour Contest! // Benjamin Vial Remix of “Surrounded By Cowards”!

Today in one week, it’s that time again: Julien-K return to Europe and start their tour with a show in the Slimelight Electrowerkz in London (UK)! It will be exciting to see what kind of surprises the guys will have in store for us! ;)

In order to boost the pleasant anticipation even more, there is a contest going on that you can easily participate in: Just taje a picture of you with a ticket to one of the shows of the tour, upload it to Facebook and link it to the official Julien-K profile. If you do so, you will get a tour poster for free at the show that you will attend. So unpack your cam and show us at which shows you will be! You can find further information to the tour and the purchase of tickets HERE!

If you also send the pictures to us from Julien-K.de, we will include you into the fan gallery section of our website that we are currently setting up. In case you don’t have a ticket to a show yet (what are you waiting for?), you can also take a picture of yourself and the new album and send us the pic. By the way: Remixes of all album songs are supposed to be released separately in the future! Of course we will keep you posted about that and wish all of you a nice and hopefully not so cold weekend!

First Live Videos from the Release Show!

The first videos from last night’s album release show in Los Angeles have now appeared, featuring no less than Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington. Here you can watch the live performances of the two brand-new songs “I’ll Try Not To Destroy You” and “Palm Springs Reset”;

Tomorrow is the day – the long-awaited new album We’re Here With You will be released officially! Get the CD HERE at Amazon or HERE in the official merch store or simply download it digitally at iTunes!! There you can also pre-listen to samples! ;)

New Press Footage!

2 days before the official release of the new album We’re Here With You and at the day of the release show in Los Angeles, we have collected some new press footage about Julien-K for you all!

1. HERE on the official site of the Roxy Theater, that is also the location for tonight’s album release show, you can read an interesting interview with Ryan that also discusses the most recent Orgy feud.

2. In the new issue of the German print magazine Sonic Seducer (02/2012) you can find a pretty long and interesting article aboutJulien-K. Get it if you can!

3. These days, Amir had a nice interview with the radio station BLN.FM. The interview is in English, but the station is actually based in Berlin, Germany. The next airing of the show is on Wednesday, January 25, at 10 A.M. Pacific Time. Tune in!

It took a while but now we are back!

…and we’re bigger and better than ever! The homepage underwent a full overhaul and now every page is finally filled with up-to-date information on every single subject we offer; the new drummer Frank Zummo, for example, already got his own biography. In contrast to our old comment system, you can now also comment on our news articles via the new Facebook plugin, so the lazy ones among us can use their Facebook acoount to comment without having to log in ;) Of course we included all new pictures, added press links, updated the videos and optimized the overall style of the pages.

One of our big new features is: We’re now fully available in English, so that our international friends can enjoy the site, too! Just switch by hitting the corresponding button and indulge in our homepage without the language barrier!

The biggest improvement is the one you’ve most likely already noticed: We’re now clad in the colors of the new Julien-K album We’re Here With You, to be released on January 23, 2012. And since we didn’t mention it before, here are the most recent tour dates for 2012 (info concerning tickets, etcl to be found in the tour section):

“We’re Here With You” – Preorder & Snippets

Black Friday is not over yet, but the news still keep coming. From now on, you are able to preorder the new album at Amazon or iTunes. The band is currently working on making the album internationally available on Amazon, in case you do not want to preorder at the German store. On iTunes, you can listen to 1:30 min snippets of all songs of We’re Here With You, so you have something to hold on to until January!

After a while of teasing by the band and Daniel from Tiefdruck Musik, the reason behind it was revealed today. In the latest Systeme de Street Mail, the band presented the artwork for their new album We’re Here With You, to be released on January 23, 2012. Feel free to leave your thoughts on the artwork in the comments!

EDIT: HERE at iTunes you can listen to 1:30 min. samples of all album songs – and of course we can warmly recommend doing this. Whoever wants to have a physical copy of the album, can preorder it at Amazon for only 13,99 €. JULIEN-K Tour Recap Video!
